Welcome to the Parish Council website representing Stretton   and Lower Stretton, Warrington

 Stretton Parish Council is made up of 7 Councillors, who   undertake their role in an unpaid, voluntary capacity, in   order to act as the voice of Stretton in protecting its rural   nature and enhancing its village identity

 Meetings take place monthly, usually the first Monday of the   calendar month, with two recesses taken during the year. 
 The public are welcome to meetings, alternatively please   contact us via the Clerk to raise any issues, concerns or ideas   for village-wide projects

Parish Council Meetings

Stretton Parish Council meet for Monthly Meetings usually commencing at 6.30pm on the first Monday of each month, with two recesses, taken February and August

In addition, there are two further meetings held annually:
The Annual Parish Meeting is held in April, prior to the Monthly Meeting, where the PC details its accomplishments over the last 12-months
The Annual Meeting (also referred to as AGM) takes place in May, prior to the Monthly Meeting, where the Chair and Vice-Chair are appointed, together with confirmation of external Representatives for the forthcoming year These meetings, together with any Extraordinary Planning Meetings may start earlier at 6pm

However, please check dates for any amendments, as meeting dates, meeting times and recess months can be subject to change

Stretton Parish Council raises monies via pre-cept, which forms a small percentage of the Council Tax collected by Warrington Borough Council

The monies are allocated by the PC in various ways to benefit the residents of Stretton, with projects aimed at enhancing the village, retaining its rural identity and bringing the community of Stretton together
